Initiatives for Improving Digital Advertising Quality and Healthy Industry Development
The Adways Group is committed to realizing advertising that is lawful, sound, and genuinely valuable for all stakeholders involved in the advertising ecosystem.
To contribute to the healthy development of the digital advertising market, we participate in the Japan Interactive Advertising Association (JIAA) and work to improve advertising quality, promote transparent advertising transactions, and pursue more meaningful and better forms of advertising.
Certified as a "Quality Certified Business" by JICDAQ (Japan Institute for Digital Advertising Quality)
Adways Inc. and its subsidiary UNICORN, Inc. were certified as "Quality Certified Businesses" on November 1, 2021, in recognition of their appropriate business practices in line with certification standards for "exclusion of invalid traffic including ad fraud" and "ensuring brand safety related to ad placement quality."
Ad Fraud Countermeasures
Working with media partners, we restrict ad placements on websites suspected of ad fraud.
Our proprietary fraud detection algorithm identifies fraudulent click inventory and bot access, automatically assessing whether ad placements are of genuine value. By measuring metrics that exclude erroneous clicks, we evaluate the true value of advertising.
Brand Safety
Using lists of illegal and harmful sites provided by JIAA, as well as our group’s own approved lists, we maintain the quality of ad delivery. By excluding illegal and harmful sites from ad placements, we work to prevent damage to advertisers’ brand image from inappropriate placements.
Ad Verification Initiatives
In addition to managing our group’s proprietary delivery blocklist, we have implemented ad verification tools provided by Momentum Inc. and Spider Labs Inc. to reduce brand image risks and support risk avoidance.
